These steps will help you reset your printer’s waste ink pad counter successfully

STEP 1: know the error

You need to check the printer error or the error code:
1. The ink pad needs service
2. The ink pad is nearing the end of service life
3. A printer’s ink pad is at the end of its service life
4. A part inside your printer is at the end of its service life

STEP 2: COMPONENTS

Prepare all the necessary components to do a successful reset.
1. Windows PC version 7, 8, 10 or 11
2. Internet connection 
3. USB cable providing the connection to the printer 
4. A printer that is supported by the Wicresetconnect program

STEP 3: CONNECTIOn

Whether you need an Epson ink pad reset utility or a Canon ink absorber full reset you must first establish communication with the printer. In the Wic Reset Utility Program, your printer should be displayed in the panel on the left. After selecting the printer by choosing USB connection, click the ‘Read waste counters’ button. If the displayed status of the counters in the printer is around 100%, reset it to keep using the printer.

STEP 4: Reset the printer using the Wic Reset Connect key

1. Right-click and run WICResetConnect.exe as Administrator.
2. Enter your purchased Wicresetconnect key in the box provided.
3. Click ‘Reset’ to begin the process.
⏱ The reset usually takes about 2 minutes.
⚠️ Important: Do not click anything or interrupt the process while it’s running.
Once complete, a confirmation message will appear.
